My training
So I received another donation! It is helps to know that there are people out there that are so willing to help a great cause. my training walk on Saturday was good I walked 4 miles in about an hour. I am going for a walk tonight and tomorrow I am going to attempt the state park in Benicia. Also one of my friends signed up to participate in this as well.
The Walk
Right now I am wrighting a blog about the walk I am doing in September
Here is the letter I am sending out to explain.
I signed up to walk in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk for the Cure event!! Yes 20 miles a day for 3 days. Me! The person who does not like to exercise!September 5-7, I'll be participating in a very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day. I'll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.I've agreed to raise at least $2,200 in donations. So I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? All donations would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind how far I'm walking - and how hard I'll have to train. You can donate online at http://08.the3day.org/goto/SusanAMoritz or you can also call 800.996.3DAY to donate over the phone. I decided to take on this challenge in honor of my sister who was diagnosed at the age of 17 and is a survivor. According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, more than 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That's why I'm walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.Thank you in advance for your generosity!P.S. Ask your employer if they will double your donation through a matching gift program.
